12/4/2023 0 Comments Edc shuttle passes 2022![]() A lot of owners don't have high opinions of ravers and either jack up their rates to the moon or will just flat out reject your offer to rent. Lastly, there are private rentals through Outdoorsy or RVShare. And that doesn't count the fuel used to run your generator while at EDC which will be another 20 gallons or so over 4+ days. So, for example, the ~240 mile drive from LA to Las Vegas would use ~70 gallons of fuel which at $3.75/gal is $258 just to get there and back. Most RV's have a 55gal tank and gas is currently close to $4/gal in most urban areas. If you choose to rent from out of state (Cali, Utah, etc), be aware that nearly every RV rental company has a hefty 1-way fee and/or will cost a fortune in mileage and gas costs. Most also have an EDC Fee that is between $500-1500 extra, regardless of when you rent. This list is not comprehensive, but hits the big local names. Well regarded companies to rent from in Las Vegas are El Monte, CruiseAmerica, Apollo (if they stick to reopening in April of 2022), Sahara RV (if they re-open in time) and RoadBear. Any later than 1yr away and the price will double or triple or more. First, you have to put the deposit on your RV reservation over a year in advance to get the best price. Renting locally in Las Vegas is the best option, however there are some huge caveats. Obviously, owning your own RV/trailer is the cheapest, but most people rent out of pure convenience. This is a complicated question of logistics, timing and how deep your pockets are. So trust me, you don't want to overcrowd your RV We were constantly tripping over our own stuff which by the end of the first few hours was enough for us to know we'd made a mistake. I've had an 8 person RV with 6 people at CampEDC before and it was very uncomfortable. Plus when you add your luggage to the mix you'll have even less space. The convertible dinette, fold out couches and (sometimes) bunk beds, are not big enough for more than 1 adult and rarely even that. Yeah, sure the RV says it can sleep 8, but that number includes children. The simple answer: 1/2 the listed capacity. Staff was accommodating and most people parked horizontally in their spot or had other creative space management options. As of 2021, you have to creatively fit your towing vehicle in the space allotted. Prior to 2021, you were allowed to unhitch a towed camper/5th wheel, and park that vehicle in the blue lot. It doesn't matter which you bring, it just has to all fit in 45’ of the parking spaces in camp. RV or Trailer?įor the uninitiated, an ‘RV’ could be a trailer pulled by a truck, a Class C (looks like a moving truck) or Class A (looks like a band tour bus). I highly, HIGHLY recommend that you arrive prior to 2pm to avoid a very likely traffic build up especially on Friday. So between 2pm-5pm, there will be double the traffic. The RV check-in area uses the same roads/entry as Premiere parking pass holders. During the hours of 2pm-5pm on Friday and Saturday, you will have overlapping traffic for both Camp Check-in and regular festival traffic. THESE AREa DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUS YEARS. Thursday, May 19th: 9am–Midnight (11:59pm)Friday, However, the most recent update to the site changed the times back to 2pm on those days. MAY 13th UPDATE: Previous versions of this FAQ said check-in was till 5pm on Friday and Saturday, this is because the website listed this at one point.
